Our Story

 Inspired by the American Frontier (late 19th/20th century), we created Lab Calibre. From the complex wash of our denim, to the details in our designs. We have used the old gun slinging, gold rush era as a direction for the brand.

What does Lab Calibre mean?

L.A.B is an abbreviation of the word laboratory, where ideas are tested and new solutions are found to increase our understanding about an idea or subject. In our case testing fabrics, dyes, weights, pocket sizes, metal studs, materials, print methods... the list goes on. 

But the best part about 'testing' all of these aspects, is that there never really is an end. We can always find something new, something better and something more relatable. 

The textbook definition of the word calibre, pronounced Ka-Li-Ba is both the measure of somebody's character or level of their ability and is also the internal diameter of a gun barrel... Which is quite a well fitting word, considering the theme of the brand. 

You're probably wondering if the brand is for you. We get it, we're a bit outlandish. But honestly, we were tired of the repetitive brands that are saturating the market, with their lack of creativity.

We wanted to create something completely unique, something that you cherish and are proud to wear. You don't wear Lab Calibre to fit in, you wear it because it is who you are. It's like art, subjective!
